Tardigrades are small, extremophile animals.
Commonly known as the “water bear” these animals have been sent into a vacuum, returned to normal atmosphere, and found to be still living.
They are found in almost any habitat imaginable, and although they are microscopic, the larger, adults may be seen with the naked eye - so next time you go swimming in a lake, try looking for some !
